...We cannot see ourselves unless we step outside ourselves.” - José Saramago.
When we are living within our own stories, it can be difficult to see the whole picture. Sometimes, we need a little distance to see things more clearly.
In therapy, we can step back and witness ourselves.

There is no single way to be human.
Diversity is celebrated and embraced at Fine Mind Psychology. We foster a culture of acceptance, inclusion, and unconditional positive regard for all individuals.

Every day, we are bombarded with information, tasks, and responsibilities.
We find ourselves constantly moving between the different roles we play — the parent, the partner, the professional, the friend. We can become so busy responding to the world around us that we rarely stop to notice what is happening inside.
Here, we take the time to remember who we are beyond all of that.

Sometimes, we find ourselves having the same arguments, feeling the same fears, choosing similar relationships, or reacting in ways we don't fully understand.
Some patterns may have served us in the past but no longer seem to fit the lives we are living now. Looking at what sits underneath them can bring us closer to understanding what we need, and what we might want to do differently.

We are surrounded by ideas about who we should be, what we should want, and what a good life is supposed to look like. Over time, it can be hard to know what is actually ours.
Let's peel back the layers.
― Irvin D. Yalom
